Doris has been a lifelong member of St. Barnabas Church for eighty years. She was born, baptized, confirmed and married at the church. She has served on the Altar Guild for sixty-five years and taught Sunday School for thirty five years. Doris also serves as usher and almoner and has served on the church’s outreach committee.
Along with Richard Cuilty, Doris volunteers her time at the church six mornings every week and does anything that has to be done, ranging from answering phones and handling the mail to sorting out clothes for the Midnight Run.
Doris has been and continues to be invaluable and important to the church’s daily functioning. St. Barnabas Church is eternally grateful to Doris for a lifetime of faithful and selfless service.
Dick joined the St. Barnabas family in 1962 after moving here from Dobbs Ferry. He was a member of the Vestry from 1971 through 1977, and served as Senior Warden from 1994 to 1998. Dick continues to serve as an usher, almoner and as Treasurer of the Men’s Group. Since July of 2011 he has teamed with Doris Brown working daily to assist the Wardens by managing the office, documenting church policies and procedures, and developing information that will be helpful to our next priest.
